Tom Miller

Tom has built and re-built sales that helped contribute to very significant exits at several startups including an IPO and 3 high-value acquisitions. He re-started enterprise product sales at the world’s largest software registry, npm, Inc., that serves millions of JavaScript developers more than a billion packages a day.

Most recently, at Intertrust, he led worldwide sales for its cybersecurity and data governance platform products.

Tom’s career in sales started in college, selling pool cues out of the back of his car. He found a ready target market and ideal customer profile with folks spending their weekday afternoons in local bars. He quickly moved up to selling database and software development tools.

He’s led worldwide sales for Qt Software, a popular cross-platform development tool that’s used in nearly a billion devices and desktop applications. If you have a Samsung DVR, LG Smart TV, use Adobe Photoshop Express or drive a Tesla, you’re using Qt.

Before Qt, he helped launch sales at Openwave, the company that introduced the first internet browser for mobile phones and established a sales and account management team that grew sales to nearly $100M and 1.5 billion units shipped.

When not in an aisle seat (hopefully in an exit row) Tom lives with his wife, Raquel, in San Francisco where they run, do yoga, dine out a lot, and periodically advise three daughters on the intricacies of adulting.
