We’re about to set off on a family adventure to the land of 246 cheeses. Three weeks across the french countryside, the five of us in what Hertz promises is a “Peugeot 5008 or similar.” I’m just hoping we can fit all the luggage, considering it’s Dad (that’s me) and 4 women.
Camera batteries? Charged. Kindles freshly downloaded. Cellphones confiscated–how does AT&T justify a $40 charge just for a simple email download or $1/min phonecalls? Do data packets get horribly compressed in those undersea cables and have to be unpacked by hand? What’s really going on here?
The girls’ suitcases are so fully stuffed that I’m confident there will be no room whatsoever to purchase any merchandise when we are there. Let’s see…
